Ingredients for dough

3 cups flour
3 egg yolks
2/3 cup warm milk
½ tsp. dry yeast
1 tbsp. sugar
1 cup butter or margarine (warm up)
2 tbsp. sour cream
Pinch of salt

Directions

Mix milk, sugar and yeast and set aside for 10-15 minutes. Mix flour and shortening, make a well and add all other ingredients, Mix and Knead until smooth. Divide dough in half. Roll out very thin and spread with filling. Roll up jelly roll fashion, tucking in the ends as you go. Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Brush with egg yolk and then allow it to dry. Finally poke holes in the dough so it can breathe. Bake at 350F for about 30-40 minutes.

Ingredients for filling

2 cups ground walnut
¾ cup sugar
¼ cup milk
1 tsp of vanilla extract

Directions

Bring milk to boil with vanilla extract. Remove from heat, add all other ingredients and mix. This should be a spreadable mixture. Done.
